Hey Neil, the guy is ducking me because he forgot to help me move the mould outside.
Must think I'll knock him out?.😂

I used brain over brawn on Monday to get it outside for some natural post curing.
Anything black in the sun just pulls heat. The resin spec sheets are all the same.
The higher temperature used the shorter post cure. 2 days or 12 hours at 60*C works.

I don't have a big oven anymore but some thick plastic groundsheet does the trick.

Today I'll jack the liner up 5" and put it on stands so I can position the tray and mark it for cutting the holes.
I've never had help here before and I'm good.

Thanks Neil.

There's a lot more than dumb luck involved here.
My chassis rails are 800mm wide so I built the mould with an 820mm ID for some wiggle room
because I'm not professional enough to say "well 2 layers of Carbon weighing 220gr/m2 plus 4 layers of 280gr glass infused with resin will give me a final cured thickness of 8mm".
I'd be a feakin liar!!!!.😂😂😂😂😂😂😂. Guys that say that work in sano labs and wear white coats and aren't hot rod wannabees.

I figured it's easier to put in a few spacers either side than have to cut the floor tray and widen it to fit.
Aubrey sneaked around the corner yesterday like a dog that peed on the carpet. Hilarious. Hey boss I forgot, I'm sorry.
Aubrey, ever seen me walk on water?. We're human so come help me fit this pan.

We got the floor pan in. I can eyeball like a BOSSS!!!!!!!. I get more help from above than anyone. Composite stuff doesn't just slide over metal.
All I have is it fits and pics are coming later.🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻✝✝✝✝

Give Aubrey only a mild flogging.

Neil, I'm not that guy anymore.

I laugh at stuff that annoyed me before.😂😂😂😂😂
I'm Liner Focussed!!!!!.

SPARKY

I have a grandson with anger issues.    I told him about a younger friend of mine that named his anger "Little Man".   As he grows older he is learning to recognize the things that make little man restless.  He is very proud that it has be over a year since little man has sprung out of his nest in his chest and torn up a lot of STUFF!!
Miss LIBERTY,  changing T.K.I.  to noise, dust, rust, BLUE HATS & hopefully not scrap!!

"Security is mostly a superstition. It does not exist in nature, nor do the children of men as a whole experience it. Avoiding danger is no safer in the long run than outright exposure. Life is either a daring adventure or nothing."   Helen Keller

We are going to explore the racing N words NITROUS & NITRO!

Sparky, there's one answer. Hockey.
It's the cure all.
I speak from experience.
Not sure why he's angry but I know that the big guys are supposed to protect the little ones.
It unfortunately doesn't always happen. Hockey works.👊🏻👊🏻👊🏻👍🏻

First floor tray is mocked up.
What a job!!!!.
The tray is fine but the mounting tabs were a problem.
I'd already welded in a few years ago. Those were predrilled.
The other 40 are not and I don't know what material the water jet guy used but you can't drill through.
I eventually used a master that had a hole and marked the rest with a white Sharpie.

I used the plasma cutter to punch 40 small holes about 8mm in diameter.
Then I welded a bunch together after clearing off the slag and clamped them in the drill vise.
The plan was to open them to 10,5mm!!!!!. All day and a bunch of drills with cutting fluid later I have most done.

I got 8 welded in and flush with the tubing.

The floor tray was a no brainer to hang.
I used some 25l buckets to stand it on and pulled it up with tie straps.
I have a 4mm gap on the bottom rails courtesy of 2 ABS strips.

Once I punched the first hole through the composite it was easy.

More pics.

Only one at a time???.
Bottom view.

 Files are too big.

I found a bunch of old mountings from the custom bike days and they're right for the job.

There's a heavy wall tube welded to the bracket and countersunk.
This tube fits over the sleeve welded to the bottom of the chassis so it locates perfectly every time.
When the front floor tray goes in these brackets bridge the recessed overlap and it worked out perfect.

I just need to get the long C/S bolts tomorrow. I'll use this system on all the bottom joints.

Floor pan under the cockpit is bolted in.

I stood inside and got the old girl to check if it bowed.🤣🤣🤣🤣

I spent a full day hogging out the slots on the swingarms to set caster properly.
My die grinder is exhausted. New bolts and washers in.
I'm going to drill for locking wire next week.

Got another floor pan half done and I'll complete it when I get the Basalt fabric on Sunday.
